What is God's new plan for us?

Our Father had a new plan for us. It wasn't based on the old plan where sacrificing could cover up for us missing the goal that God has for us. Nope. No more "things to do" to be in right standing. Now that is good news.

Jesus took care of all of that. Nothing left we can do to get right with God. Now Jesus has taken His seat of honor next to our Father. It is the seat of absolute perfection right alongside God. Not even angels have that kind of honor. Angels have a special place with God. Jesus is way above that. Jesus is the faithful Son. God celebrates what Jesus did for us.

Did I forget to do good?

I really meant to but I just got overwhelmed with everything else on my to do list and all the crisis that came my way. Too many meetings and too many emails. It would have taken a lot (sacrifice) to have made time. I didn't. Is that what God wants from me?

Nope, here is what pleases God.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:15-17

"He wants you to be a “living sacrifice”— to let Him have all your strengths that have been saved and sanctified through Jesus." ~~Oswald Chambers

It is of no value to God to give Him your life for death. He wants you to be a “living sacrifice”— to let Him have all your strengths that have been saved and sanctified through Jesus (Romans 12:1). This is what is acceptable to God.

Jesus speaks to the Father in our defense

Jesus speaks to the Father in our defense. Now that is some very powerful good news. We know that we miss God's goal for our life. Jesus sacrificed his life so we can stand before God and be in good standing. Why, because Jesus is in right standing with His Father.

Because of this new plan, we can hit the mark and fullfill God's goals for us. Thank you Jesus.

"If good people barely make it, what's in store for the bad!" ~~King Solomon

Jesus is straight with us. The way is not easy. He says it over and over. Unfortunately, many in the church want us believe otherwise. Solomon knew otherwise as well.

We need to vigilant. We need to follow the narrow way. We need to take up the way of sacrifice. We need to leave everything behind for Jesus, our Messiah.

A cost to following

Wow!! There can be a cost to following Jesus. Our Father, please comfort and redeem this family.
A Muslim father cut out his daughter’s tongue and lit her on fire upon learning that she had become a Christian. The child became curious about Jesus Christ after she read Christian material online, the Gulf News reported. Her father read her Internet conversation, detached her tongue and burned her to death “following a heated debate on religion,” according to an International Christian Concern report.

His generosity

As the Son of God, Jesus the Messiah had all the riches of our Father. Yet He chose to give it all away. He did it for us. He did it so we could share the riches of our Father as well.

It is His nature to be generous. He loves to give to us. Like any father, He delights in making things happen for us even if it means a sacrifice on His part. Now that is love.
You are familiar with the generosity of our Master, Jesus Christ. Rich as he was, he gave it all away for us—in one stroke he became poor and we became rich. 2 Corinthians 8:8-9
