Do I need wisdom?

There are times that I seem to know what I am doing. There are other times I don't. I need wisdom. When I need it, I can simply ask my heavenly Father. He loves to help me. AND, I can count on His help. I won't be condescended to when I ask for it. I need to ask boldly. I need to believe he will give it to me. I can't have any second thoughts.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6

What He gives in love

Am I cheating on God? There are times I just want my own way. That cheats God of the relationship He wants to have with me. I am more than happy when I know what he wants and then do it. He cares. He really cares a lot. What He gives to me in love is above and beyond anything else I could get.

May live in His love and be more than happy.

You're cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn't care? The proverb has it that 'he's a fiercely jealous lover.' And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you'll find. It's common knowledge that 'God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.' James 4

 

Say a quiet yes to God

Am I as serious as I need to be? Am I really serious?

I will yell a loud no to the Devil. I am a new creation. He is completely defeated already. I am fully redemmed. I will say a quiet yes to God.

May I always remember to say YES and he will be with me!!

So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he'll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in missing God's goals. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet. James 4
